About The West Country Women Awards
What is West Country Women?
West Country Women is a regional awards, training and events community celebrating women across Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset with the Skills, Spirit, and Success they deserve.
Since 2022, we have evolved from just awards. We combine recognition with training, to ensure the South West’s most inspiring stories are backed with the tools need to thrive. When we rise together, we lead together – creating a lasting legacy.
Our Impact
Over the past four years over 5000 women have been nominated across a mix of categories and we have trained hundreds of women in confidence building and public speaking. We have also sold over 3000 tickets to our events and have raised more than £20,000 for charities.

We believe business is about far more than just profit — it’s about community, connection, and supporting one another to grow.
Through our business membership, we proudly support the South West Women Awards and the incredible community spirit behind them. The CIC was created not only to celebrate and empower women in business, but also to give back through fundraising, support local charities, and create opportunities for people to connect, collaborate, and thrive together.
Everything we do is built around encouraging confidence, recognising achievements, and helping women in business feel supported on their journey.
